The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant or Associate Professor in family financial planning. This position supports the HDFS department mission of conducting applied interdisciplinary scholarship focused on reducing risk and promoting resilience within individuals and families across cultures and generations.
Position Responsibilities include: Engage in scholarly activity. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, specifically in areas appropriate to expertise and the program needs. Advise graduate students. Collaborate with faculty across the university to develop interdisciplinary research and training programs on topics related to family financial planning. Provide service to the university, community and the broader professional disciplines. Assume other responsibilities consistent with the comprehensive land-grant mission of OSU.
Required Qualifications include: An earned doctorate in Family Financial Planning, Family Economics, Family Resource Management or closely related field from an accredited university. Expertise in theories, technologies, and methods associated with the fields of Family Financial Planning, Family Economics, or Family Resource Management, as well as a demonstrated interest in the university's land grant mission and a desire to make a positive impact on the community through scholarship, teaching and service. A record of or demonstrated potential for significant research and publications. University or college teaching experience and/or professional experience. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and interact effectively with faculty, students and administrative personnel, especially on research projects. Successful candidate must provide evidence of employment eligibility as required. CFP® is preferred.
