The Financial Coach will be responsible for providing one-on-one financial coaching services to Veterans and/or economically vulnerable consumers (see populations clarified below). The goal is to help these clients proactively take control of their finances at crucial moments in their lives, and empower them to make better-informed decisions regarding consumer financial products and services.
Financial Coaches will lead clients through a collaborative process that guides them in setting or refining their goals, developing action plans to meet those goals, coaching them in goal advancement, and ultimately achieving the goal(s). As such, Financial Coaches will help clients stay on top of their goals and monitor and document their progress over time using a case management and outcome tracking system. For many clients, the work with the Financial Coach will empower them to proactively take control of their financial lives.
A successful financial coach will have both the AFC and FFC certifications obtained through our partner, AFCPE. All coaches in our national program are automatically enrolled in both training programs at no cost to the coach. Preference goes to candidates who have completed the one or both programs.
